Pure serenity. These are the only two words I want to elaborate on in hopes that someone else will be drawn towards this place of peace and be utterly overcome with unexpected happiness like I was. I was looking for a place where I could find clarity and Kangaroo Manor certainly delivered plus more.
Upon arriving I was greeted by Hermann, his playful two dogs, their domesticated kangaroo and Joey, 3 horses plus more. This man and animal sanctuary was certainly an unexpected bonus to my experience and one I am grateful to have had the pleasure to have spent time with. As we walked around Hermann's gardens it became apparent that he is a hard working, yet a kind and gentle soul whose life experience has given him knowledgeable insight to the world that I was incredibly grateful to have been exposed to for a short while. When you're coming and going I urge you to take a walk with Hermann around his gardens. Experience his knowledge. You'll be pleasantly surprised what you might walk away with. Additionally, sit for even just a moment on the front porch overlooking the still pool and life filling forests.
Be present and breathe in the peace that is not possible to find in the inner city of Melbourne. You'll walk away feeling a sense of calm but also a rediscovered rejuvenation. Be drawn to Kangaroo Manor with no expectation but an open heart, you'll be pleasantly surprised what experiences will unfold. Hermann and Louise, I cannot be more grateful you have opened your home to the world and to me. Your hospitality was extremely generous and I can not be more happy to have had the opportunity to spend time with you. This experience was certainly one you could not put a value to and one I'll remember forever. If you'll let me, I'll certainly be returning!
